Buffalo Sabres send Johnson to Amerks on loan, Thompson activated from non-roster list

The Buffalo Sabres made an announcement on Friday regarding their player movement. Defenseman Ryan Johnson has been loaned to the Rochester Americans, while forward Tage Thompson has been activated from the non-roster list.

Ryan Johnson, 22 years old, has played 20 games for the Sabres since his recall from Rochester on November 4th. During this time, he has recorded two assists, a plus-3 rating, and an average ice time of 13:52 per game. With the Amerks this season, Johnson has accumulated four assists in nine games.

In addition to the loaning of Ryan Johnson, the Sabres have also reassigned forward Olivier Nadeau. Nadeau will be moving from the Rochester Americans to the Jacksonville Icemen in the ECHL.

This player movement comes as the Amerks prepare for a back-to-back set of games against the Hershey Bears. The first game will take place on Friday at the Blue Cross Arena.
