Buffalo Sabres send Comrie on assignment to Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres made an announcement on Monday regarding the assignment of goaltender Eric Comrie to the Rochester Americans. Comrie has played in seven games for the Sabres this season, with a record of 1-5-0 and a save percentage of .863. Last season, the 28-year-old played in 19 games for Buffalo after signing a two-year deal with the team in July 2022. Throughout his NHL career, Comrie has played in a total of 54 games for the Winnipeg Jets, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, and the Sabres. In those games, he has made 50 starts and accumulated 1,404 saves. His career AHL statistics include a .911 save percentage and a 2.82 goals-against average in 210 games.
The Rochester Americans will begin the new year with a home-and-home series against the Cleveland Monsters. The first game of the series will take place on Friday at Blue Cross Arena, and the puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
