Buffalo Sabres Begin 3-Game Road Trip in Anaheim to Start West Coast Swing

The Buffalo Sabres are embarking on a three-game road trip out west following a six-game homestand where they achieved a 3-3 record. During the homestand, the Sabres secured wins against Ottawa, San Jose, and Chicago, while suffering defeats against Seattle, Vancouver, and Tampa Bay.

In the net, goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen demonstrated his skills by starting in five consecutive games. During this time, he achieved a 3-2 record and an impressive .947 save percentage. Luukkonen made a total of 107 saves out of 113 shots, including an outstanding 47 saves in shutout victories over San Jose and Chicago.

Among the Sabres’ standout players during the homestand was Casey Mittelstadt, who tallied six points (1 goal and 5 assists) in the six games played. Rasmus Dahlin contributed five points (1 goal and 4 assists), and Alex Tuch made an impact with two goals and two assists.

The Sabres’ penalty kill excelled at KeyBank Center in January, going 15-for-16. This performance included a flawless stretch of 15-for-15 in their last five games.
