Panthers defeat Sabres 3-2 in overtime at the Horn

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen put on a strong performance, making 39 saves, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Sam Reinhart scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead the Florida Panthers to a 3-2 victory over the Sabres at the Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday. Tyson Jost and Jack Quinn were the goal scorers for the Sabres, with assists from defensemen Rasmus Dahlin, Henri Jokiharju, Bowen Byram, and Owen Power. For Florida, Anton Lundell and Kevin Stenlund found the back of the net, with goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky making 27 saves.

The game was closely contested, but ultimately the Panthers emerged victorious with Reinhart’s decisive goal. In summary, despite Luukkonen’s standout performance in goal and the efforts of the Sabres’ goal scorers and assist contributors, the Panthers prevailed in a hard-fought contest.
