Buffalo Sabres Defeat Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 in a Match at the Horn

Dylan Cozens had an impressive game, scoring twice and providing an assist, as the Buffalo Sabres secured a 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena. This win marked the end of the Sabres’ 2023-24 season, finishing with a 39-37-6 record and a total of 84 points. The game-winning goal was scored by Jordan Greenway, with just 3:47 left in the second period. Zach Benson also contributed to the victory, tallying his 11th goal of the season.

Greenway finished with a goal and an assist (1+1), and Jack Quinn also had a solid performance, recording two assists (0+2). Additionally, Bowen Byram, Tyson Jost, and Zemgus Girgensons each notched an assist during the game. Unfortunately, the Sabres suffered a setback when Tage Thompson left the game with a lower-body injury with 8:38 remaining in the first period, and did not return. On the bright side, Eric Comrie put on an outstanding performance in the net, stopping 31 of 33 shots on goal, contributing to the team’s well-deserved victory.
