Buffalo Sabres announce coaching changes

The Buffalo Sabres today announced that they have removed head coach Don Granato, assistant coach Jason Christie, and video coordinator Matt Smith from their positions. General Manager Kevyn Adams expressed gratitude to Don Granato for his dedication and contributions to the organization while acknowledging the need for a change in leadership at this point in time. Adams also thanked Jason and Matt for their contributions to the team, emphasizing that the decision was made in the best interest of the team’s future. Adams is scheduled to address the media today at 3 p.m. to discuss the decision.
