Ryan Miller, fellow alumnus to return for ‘Catwalk for Charity’ event on March 15

The “Catwalk for Charity” event featuring Ryan Miller and his former Buffalo Sabres teammates is set to return on Friday, March 15. The event will take place at Forbes Theater from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and aims to benefit The Ryan Miller Legacy Fund. The theme for the night is the “Black and Red Runway,” which pays homage to the uniform Miller wore at the beginning of his Sabres career.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in black and red to match the theme and make the most of the event. The inaugural “Catwalk for Charity” was organized by Miller through his Steadfast Foundation in 2007 to support pediatric cancer patients at Roswell Park. It became a yearly tradition during Miller’s time with the Sabres, allowing fans to interact with players in an informal setting while raising over $1 million.

In 2023, the Sabres established The Ryan Miller Legacy Fund, an endowment that supports Courage of Carly patients, honoring Miller’s philanthropic efforts in Western New York. After leaving Buffalo and concluding his career elsewhere, Miller and his foundation continued to stay engaged in charity work in Buffalo through different avenues. In 2023, the organization inducted Miller into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame and retired his No.

30 jersey as a recognition of his contributions. More former Sabres players are expected to join the event, and their participation will be announced leading up to the “Catwalk for Charity” event.
