Buffalo Sabres announce 2023-24 theme nights

The Buffalo Sabres have released the schedule for theme nights during the 2023-24 season, beginning with the home opener against the New York Rangers on October 12. The team will kick off the regular season with a party in the Plaza, including music, activities, and photo opportunities to welcome the players to KeyBank Center. The Sabres will make their first appearance in black and red third jerseys against the New York Islanders on October 21, offering a new and exciting experience for fans. On October 29, the team will celebrate Halloween with a costume party during the game against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Sabres will host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer game on November 10 in partnership with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, joining the NHL-wide initiative to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Additionally, the team will partner with Seneca Resorts and Casinos for Native American Heritage Night on November 5, honoring Native American groups in Western New York and their history in the area. Throughout December, the Sabres will play four consecutive games with winter-themed activations, providing fun for fans even in the cold weather. The team will also host Kids Day on January 20, giving children the opportunity to take on special roles at KeyBank Center.

Several other theme nights are scheduled throughout the season, including Sabretooth’s birthday celebration, Military Appreciation Night, Youth Hockey Night, Choose Love Night, Pride Night, Dyngus Day celebrations, and Fan Appreciation Night. Each of these nights is designed to honor and celebrate different communities and causes, making KeyBank Center a welcoming and inclusive space for all fans.
