Kevyn Adams had a clear vision as he began his search for the next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. He was looking for experience and pedigree to help his team take the next step after falling short of expectations this season. After speaking with several candidates, Adams kept coming back to one in particular: Lindy Ruff.
Ruff was officially hired as the Sabres’ coach, and Adams expressed his conviction that Ruff was the right person for the job after long and detailed conversations. Adams and Ruff joined for an introductory press conference following the decision, with Adams reflecting on the exhaustive process of considering numerous candidates.
